There are only a couple of days left until my trip!  I am so excited that I can hardly sleep at night.  My luggage is sitting open on my bedroom floor and I continue to pack more each day.  I still have a lot to do before I leave and a lot of people to see before I go.  A couple of days ago, I met with a friend who studied abroad at the same university.  She answered all of my questions, and addressed all of my fears.  She literally drew me a map showing the street I will probably live on, how to get to the university from that street, all of her favorite restaurants within a couple of blocks, the nearest internet café, and a lot of other local establishments that will be useful for me.  We talked for two and half hours non-stop.  Afterwards, I no longer felt afraid or anxious about the trip.  (If you’re reading this, thank you so much Ellie!) Now that all of my fears have been calmed and my questions answered, I cannot wait to embark on the trip of a lifetime!
